I attempted to take the most random pic, at the most random angle, with the most random lighting for the ROCK ART. I ended up creating an asymmetrical photo with this cool diagonal

Rock Art

Rock Art

I wanted something that would reflect light when it was displayed outside. I painted the rock then applied gold leaf to the wet paint. I displayed it in the park near my neighborhood, I wanted the location to be easily accessible so I could move it to different spots. Unfortunately, the weather this weekend was mostly foggy, however I might try it again when the weather brightens up!

ROCK ART

Rock art is pretty awesome in my opinion, I love nature so being able to work with anything from it is exciting for me. The birdhouse showcases how rocks have more than just durability going for them but that they’re also beautiful and diverse and in this case used as decor. The other two rock arrangements are in the garden of my childhood home, they consist of rocks/fossils that my mother and I have collected over the years.

Michael Heizer at The Menil Collection

These are just a couple of the wonderful installations/sculptures from Michael Heizer at The Menil. His work is interesting and dynamic. You can move around the pieces, see them from all angles and even interact with them. With these pieces being outside their surroundings change constantly, pictures will come out differently every time depending on the weather and seasons.
