I had the opportunity to pop into the UH Public Broadcasting building before class today to take a look at their modulation hanging in the lobby. Pro tip: the lady at the front desk made sure to tell me to look underneath the sculpture which was really cool.

Orange Art. Follow @bamtefa_ on IG
Above a paintings I did that had to do with the color orange and the fruit. It's also strange because subconsciously, all of my paintings are so draw to the color Orange. But also, In the painting below, the orange in the painting is the only Orange in the painting.

Waste Land
I really enjoyed this documentary. It was really interesting to see these people who live in the trash have so much pride about what they do. Even though they don't have much they are so happy. Also I love that Vic Muniz came back and gave back to the community and really had a passion to help these people. It was so crazy to them climbing through these mountains of trash. It was so interesting.

This was really cool! And was a lot bigger than I expected it to be! Definitely go see it if you haven't
Trash Art By Manny .. Follow me @ bamtefa_ on IG .
I found two pieces of art that was trashed last semester in block. One was an old hexagon palette that was trashed by the graduate studios. When I saw it, I thought of a Stop Sign so I put Never Stop on the front of it. I didn't touch the colors on the back of the palette because I felt it was such a good painting even though it wasn't even a painting. I guess the artist didn't see the value in his palette
Right above is a painting of the way I felt America stood painted over a board of wood trashed by the school of technology. A lot of art students are fond of going in the trash at that building to get stuff. Im one of them

90s!
90s nostalgia wall by Al Win! This is a wall I saw awhile back on Westheimer, the bright colors perfectly capture the cartoons I grew up watching.
1627 Westheimer Rd, Houston Texas.
(My original submission was a Super Mario Bros. mural near Monroe and 45 S but the pictures didn’t save)

I visited this piece at the University of Houston Center for Public Broadcasting. It was really cool to see because I really didn't expect it to be as big as it was. I was able to walk under it and see the inside of it and there was cool lights.

Recycled Art
Paper Flower by April Rosse |
For this project I used paper bags from my recycling bin. I’ve been doing a lot of landscapes and nature pieces lately so I continued that theme with the flower. My space is overflowing with art supplies so in an effort to get rid of stuff I can’t say normally I would use my recycling paper, but I’m happy with it!

Trash Art
For my trash art I made paper flowers out of napkins and stuck them in this bush. I made a fifth one but it blew away. I really like the idea of recycling materials and making them into something new.
More Street Art just for fun!
I've never been to Saint Arnold Brewery and the parking lot had this murals which were super cool and I was just 🤤🤤🤤🤤! #streetart Alex Arzu!

I made this using a piece of thin fabric that I found in my mom's closet and I molded it around a styrofoam head using an adhesive spray. I took out the mold and used more adhesive spray to attach the dirt and placed it in the ground so that it looked like it was coming in or out of the ground. This piece was inspired by the Sandman from Spider-man.
I made this mobile in a creative attempt to present media studies for another class over spring break (so you could say that it is double repurposed). The handle and wire is made from a wire hanger and the string is just basic thread. It took a lot of effort engineering and a lot of patience bending the wire, but overall I was pleased with the outcome.

Non-Standard Materials Art
I was really set on using my video games to create a sculptural tower, I tried out different ways to stack them and like this method best! In the top photo I made it almost all the way but they fell while I was trying to stack the second to last row! I tried again with a smaller set and it stayed (bottom photo) I wanted to incorporate my video games into my piece but needed for it to be a temporary piece and this is what I came up with! I tried to many times so I finally settled with the smaller one. :)

Graffiti Museum
I'm retarded and forgot Gonzo said it is not open yet, but the Graffiti museum is open by appointment only.
Splendora Gardens Art Show
I submitted this piece into the Splendora Gardents Art Show (I don’t think it made it though; maybe next time!). It’s painted with acrylic and pretty small. I actually finished this last semester for Intermediate Painting, but figured I may as well give it a shot.
Street Art
I used to go to Agora Cafe on Westheimer with friends all the time, and I’d see this mural on the building opposite. Agora itself has some art on its walls (which I unfortunately didn’t capture), but none so large-scaled. It actually feels kind of nostalgic looking at it now. The colors and intricacies always mesmerized me. (I actually took this picture off the Internet; unfortunately, I lost the one I’d taken myself).
Street Art
I went to Charles st and looked at the street art there. There was a lot of really cool art work around there. This patrol guy was walking around so I made him go pose in front of the wall. The art was really cool and there was a lot around there and anyone can go and add what they want.
