Public Art Proposal

Sidewalk chalk is a fairly inexpensive and safe medium to work in, and could do wonders in bringing even more brightness into the city of Houston. The possibilities are endless:

The city of Houston allows art to remain on city property for up to 90 days, but sidewalk chalk is unique in that, with time, rain and foot traffic will naturally wear it away.

I’d like to section off a piece of Buffalo Bayou Park, either within the park itself or simply along Allen Parkway, where passer-bys such as walkers, joggers, and bikers might be able to enjoy it. I’d also like to invite residents of the city to come watch the process.
