I created an envelope for Kendrick Lamar. His album "To Pimp a Butterfly" has really influenced my life in all the best ways. In particular his song "Complexion" which emphasizes the conflict between "light skin" and "dark skin"dichotomy created by Willie Lynch's letter to slave owners encouraging them to use skin tone to pit the slaves against each other so they don't unite as one force. If I were to send this to Kendrick, I would print out the letter and correct it (much like posts on Facebook that correct ignorant and bigoted posts)
